CHRISTMAS CONCERT

On Friday, December 12, Cántico Singers opens our seventh season withTidings of Comfort and Joy! We are particularly pleased this year to bring you music honoring Mary, the mother of Jesus. Compare two arrangements of the sublime "Tota Pulchra Es," and soak in the chant-like sounds of selections from Rachmaninoff's vespers. You'll get to hear Christmas classics in fresh ways when we present, "Carol of the Bells" and "Little Drummer Boy" as arranged by popular vocal group Pentatonix. RS CHRISTMAS ACTIVITY

The Relief Society activity night will be on Thursday, December 11 at 7pm at Marah Cluff's home, 11667 NW Permian Dr., Portland OR 97229. Come and enjoy our time together. Light refreshments will be served.  Please bring a gift card to donate to the families at the Doernbecher Children's oncology center. We will be adding these to the blankets.  (*Ideas for gift cards include Target, Fred Meyer, Amazon, Starbucks...in any increment)

Hi everyone!

This Holiday season I am overseeing the collection of Christmas gifts for seven families who are in need.

There will be a Giving Tree with tags for collection this Sunday, December 7th, and at the Ward Christmas Party on Saturday, December 13th.

Gifts will be collected December 13th-20th at the church (bring to the the ward party or on Sundays) or at my home (any other time).

If your family might be interested in adopting a family, please contact me before Sunday, December 7th.  Feel free to contact me with questions.

SUMMER PARK PLAY GROUP/BEACH DAYS

Many have been asking me to do the park play group again this summer.  Instead of picking a park on a week by week basis, I thought it would be easier to make a schedule everyone can have ahead of time.  I’ve tried to include mornings and afternoons, splash pads, some simple close parks, a few farther away for variety, and also included some family beach days (more details to come).  Hopefully everyone can make something on the schedule this summer.  I will be traveling until the 2nd week of July, so I will see you at Pirate Park.  The schedule will be included with the RS email each week in case you forget, but know that these are not church sponsored activities so no pressure to come whatsoever.  If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at cristywelsh@gmail.com or text my cell at 801.921.2212
