2012 Women's Midweek Scripture Study

Six to eight years ago then Stake Relief Society President, Jeanne Hansen, started a Wednesday morning scripture study at her home. Last year, she needed to bow out of hosting the group, but the Wednesday morning study time is still alive. Lisa Collins has graciously offered her home at from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, Wednesdays. (We skip the first Wednesday so as not to conflict with Ceder Mill Relief Society Temple morning.)

This is very low key, all are welcome to come in gym clothes, pajamas, whatever. We will follow the Cedar Mill Stake Sunday School schedule for study of the Book of Mormon in 2012. Carolyn Cook usually leads the discussion, but anyone is free to volunteer. An email goes out once a week, so email Carolyn at carolynstevenscook@gmail.com if you would like to get a reminder email each week.

Book Club - January 19

Hi Book Club Gals!

I am a bit slow in getting this out, my apologies.

We are back to meeting on the third Thursday of the month. So plan on coming to book club Jan 19th at Angie's house. We are reading Tamar by Mal Peet. I just finished the book right before Christmas and it was a great read. Can't wait to meet with all you great gals to talk about it.

Merry Christmas

Hello All,

We want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. We so enjoyed our RS Christmas lesson on Sunday, and thank all of those who were a part of making it happen--Elaine Kramer, Norma Metz, Sue Meyers, Shelley Stratton, Kassie Klein, Julee Klein, Francesca Beddow, Jenefer Young & Claudia Leppert, and all who attended.

We also send a huge thank you to those who prepared for and shared messages/talents with us at our RS Activity ("All is Calm, All is Bright") on December 1. It was a wonderful evening and helped to start the season off in the best way.

Book Club Meeting - December 8

Hi gals, I am really slow with my reminders. Luckily this month's book is basically a picture book, which should make for quick "reading" The book is:

Material World, by Peter J. Menzel.

Should be a perfect way to kick-off the season of giving! : )

Remember we decided to meet early this month, so we are meeting on the 8th at Cristy's house.

BTW - I just got done with my Hunger Games "retreat" (my husband calls it the Twilight effect...the family loses me for a couple of weeks), so I'm warning you if you don't want to get stuck discussing a book everyone read last year...don't ask me about it. I might talk your ear-off. Loved it! Just warning you! : )
