MEDICAL EQUIPMENT WAREHOUSE

Dear Bishops and Branch Presidents,

I recently visited a warehouse full of free used medical equipment -- hospital beds, wheel chairs, handicapped bathroom equipment, hoists for moving im-mobile people, etc.  Sharon Bareis has run this "People Helping People" service for several years, but this past year her husband died and she can't carry on by her self.  She needs to empty the warehouse by the middle of January.

If you know anyone that could use anything from this warehouse, you can contact Sharon at 503-875-6918, email: sharon@phpnw.org, website: http://www.phpnw.org/.  She is about ready to scrap most of the equipment, which is a shame.  If you know anyone that may be interested in carrying on her program, you can let her know.

The end of the year approaches, and so does our goal of indexing at least 750,000 names as a stake in 2012! Here is where we are at:
 
November names indexed: 29,234
November names arbitrated: 3204
November total: 32,438
YTD Indexing total: 696,162
 
We are getting closer! But we still have more than 50,000 names to index or arbitrate in just over three weeks. Can you be counted on to give our common ancestors the gift of your time this Christmas? I don't want to pressure anyone during an already busy season, but if everyone did just a little more, perhaps giving up a TV show or a game for the month, we can do some great work.
